Four months into owning my Q5 Hybrid, and I'm impressed! I'll transition to Q5PHEV when it's available but this hybrid's automatic gearbox is smooth and effortless, and the switch between electric and gas power is seamless. Instant electric power makes for quiet, speedy acceleration, and the gas engine kicks in smoothly when you need extra oomph. Just a couple of minor annoyances: sometimes the parking brake doesn't engage automatically, and there's an occasional creak from the sunroof area. Going to get the dealer to check that out. Anyone having the same problem?

But overall Q5 Hybrid has been a great choice for me. Hybrid might not be the right answer for everyone, so consider your driving needs before you decide. But if you're looking for a comfortable and efficient option, the Q5 Hybrid is definitely worth a look.

I have that parking brake issue too. The manual explains that the parking brake activates automatically when you put it in "P" on inclines. Still love the car overall, nonetheless.

When you shift into park, the parking brake automatically engages. As for the creak, try checking the rubber strips, maybe those are the problems.
