I am having issues with my rotor

I noticed a vibration in my 2011 Audi Q5 last week, coming from the front right wheel. The rotor has raised marks, likely causing the vibration by striking the brake pad. Could this have developed after sitting idle? Is it safe to grind the marks down temporarily until I replace the rotor?

It’s possible the marks developed from sitting idle, causing rust buildup. Grinding them down might reduce vibration temporarily, but replacing the rotor is safer to avoid further damage or compromised braking.

I agree with @Canon9. Grinding might help for now, but swapping out that rotor soon is the best move. If its causing vibration, it could start causing issues with other parts like the bearings or suspension over time, Better to address it before it gets worse.

Thanks, I’ll grind them down as a temporary fix but prioritize replacing the rotor soon to ensure safety.

Thanks for the advice, I’ll handle the grinding for now but make replacing the rotor a priority to avoid further damage.
