Wife and I just picked up our brand new e-tron and drove it 280 miles, charged overnight, then... bam "e-drive cooling system fault" 5 miles into my Wednesday commute. Stuck in a loaner car while the dealership investigates. Anyone else experience this?

Dealerships are often unwilling to go the extra mile for customers. They're more interested in making money than fixing problems. If your car needs major repairs, you should demand a replacement or refund. Don't let the dealership take advantage of you. You should negotiate for additional compensation, like extended warranty coverage or a financial settlement.

I’d give the dealer some time to clarify the situation. Whether I reject the car will depend on their explanation, how long the repair takes, and if I’m the one covering the costs.

280 miles, overnight charge, and then "e-drive cooling system fault" just 5 miles into your commute??? That's definitely not a good start for a new eTron.

That scary a cooling system issue would pop up so quickly. Hopefully, it's something minor, like a sensor or a hose, but it's also possible it could be a more serious problem with the cooling system itself. Hopefully, it's a quick fix and you can get back to enjoying your new car soon.
