2021 Q5 55e PHEV experiencing a malfunction on the highway

My finace just got his Audi Q5 PHEV and experienced a problem on the highway - complete loss of acceleration, flashing gear stick lights, engine cycling on/off. It was towed to dealer and was diagnosed as faulty Gateway needing replacement (waiting on part from Germany!!!). Anyone else experience this?

This issue should be addressed properly because it can increase the risk whenever someone is driving their vehicle, is this covered by the warranty? he just got the car and major problems like these already popped up?

It can be an issue with the hybrid system, not with the Gateway module. I would push the dealer to check that specifically.

Too early to have issues that many. That's the thing with these new EVs, parts are not easily available. Let us know how it went.
