Been wrenching on cars for years, so I've seen my fair share of part prices. But my wife's new '18 Audi Q5 is taking the cake! $120 for a flimsy plastic license plate bracket? And $39 for that tiny plastic roof rack wrench? Whaaaat?! Is this the new normal for Audi, or am I just missing something? I'm gonna faint from future repair costs!

I’ve found that preventive maintenance and minor repairs, like brakes, rotors, and filters, on my wife’s 2014 Lincoln are similar to what I do for my 2011 Audi. It’s also a good idea to look online or at auto salvage yards for those rare parts, as they don’t always need to be brand new.

Yikes, that’s pretty steep! I’ve dodged that bullet so far, but Audi parts can really add up especially for tiny bits like that. Looks like you're in for some wallet workouts on repairs

Yeah, that’s crazy! Honestly, I always go for used parts first before shelling out for new ones. That $120 plastic bracket and $39 wrench are a bit much, sounds like Audi is definitely living up to the "luxury" price tag. Hopefully, you won’t run into too many more of those insane costs
