Hey all,

My wife got a used 2018 Audi Q5, and from the VIN, it’s a base model. The Owner’s Manual doesn’t make it clear what features come with each trim, so I’m left guessing. Her car has a sunroof, heated front seats, and power-folding mirrors. Can these be separate options or are they only part of the "Plus" package?

Thanks for any help!

Audi’s trim and options aren’t always straightforward, and they love making packages that mix standard and optional features. If your wife’s Q5 has power-folding mirrors, that usually means it has the Convenience or Premium Plus package, since those weren’t standard on the base trim. You might want to run the VIN through an Audi dealer or an online VIN decoder to get the full feature list. Also, check the MMI settings, if you see things like Navigation or Virtual Cockpit, you might have even more upgrades than you thought.

Don't assume a base model is bare-bones those features you mentioned like the sunroof and heated seats, could be add-ons or part of a higher package. To know for sure what your wife's Q5 came with you need the original build details. I agree with @Elena_Dragunova the best way is to use a VIN decoder online or ask an Audi dealer to pull the car's factory configuration.

The sunroof and heated seats might also be available as standalone options, so that’s something to keep in mind. You could also take a peek at the door sills or badges for any extra hints about the trim level. But honestly, best bet is to grab a full list from the VIN decoder or the dealer to avoid all the guesswork.
