My Q5 2.0T has only 50,000 miles on it, but it has begun to use oil at a startling rate, which worries me. We have consistently changed the oil every 4,000 mile. The low oil light has been turning on considerably earlier than usual lately.

Could this indicate a major problem, such as a malfunctioning turbocharger, valve cover gasket, or PCV valve?

I want to keep this car in good condition and avoid major repairs. I would be very grateful for any tips.

My 2015 SQ5 experienced the same problem. The issue lies with the pistons and rings, which can also lead to trouble in cylinder 3. Believe me, this will result in expensive repairs because Audi hasn't improved the materials for this known issue.
